Preclinical Questions

This is our gateway page to all the preclinical questions (mainly MCQs but also some short answer questions) found on MedGuide. On the right hand side we have catalogued some of the main questions by body system and we also have a small number of SocPop/medical sociology-type questions too.

Most of our questions are rated by difficulty:

  • ๐Ÿ˜€ย  – EASY: typically simple, basic fundamental preclinical knowledge
  • ๐Ÿค”ย  – MEDIUM: may feature trickier fundamental concepts or you may be asked to apply knowledge to clinical or other scenarios
  • ๐Ÿฅตย  – HARD: these questions may feature more clinical concepts and use denser scientific or medical language. Some questions may go beyond what you need to know.

Regardless of the difficulty rating, within each set of questions you may find a range of difficulties, so even an ‘easy’ set of MCQs may feature some questions that ask you to apply your knowledge, for instance.

We have linked to a small number of anatomy questions in the tabs below, but for our full list of anatomy and imaging MCQs, see the anatomy and imaging page where they have been arranged by region. Also, don’t forget to check out the PreMed pages for some revision of the basic anatomy.

All our questions about neurology can be found on the Brain and Behaviour page, which also includes links to the 2021 neurophysiology day videos and associated MCQs.

Most musculoskeletal material can be found on the anatomy pages (coming soon – in the meantime see here) but some of the other content is available here:
